The Vinji vrh Nordic trail, much like the climb to Koglo, offers a classic hike with one central peak. The trail runs between vineyards and orchards. The area around the church of St Joseph provides a splendid view of the Krka valley, the Gorjanci and the Radulja hills. In good weather, the vista opens up as far as the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. The prehistoric settlement on Vinji vrh is one of the most important Iron Age archaeological sites in Slovenia. From the top there is a very steep descent into the village of Bela Cerkev; the trail also runs through the woods and is most beautiful in Autumn, when the vineyards turn golden brown and the wind-rattles (klopotci) start rattling.
