The Šmarjeta Nordic trail is suitable for all generations and leads to the administrative centre of the Šmarješke Toplice Municipality. The trail offers a chance for a pleasant family trip on a Sunday morning, followed by an afternoon dip in the swimming pools of the Šmarješke Toplice Thermal Spa. On the way to the municipal building, you can see the Karlovšek house and, in front of the house, the statue of the Boy of Peace and a fountain, which symbolically represents the establishment of the municipality. In the centre of Šmarjeta, stands the parish church of St Margaret, who is the town's patron saint.
