On the Bela Cerkev Nordic and biking trail you might run into the mischievous dwarf by the name of Vini. He will lead you to the village of Bela Cerkev, which lies on the terrace above the Krka River. It got its name from one of the first stone-built churches in the area. Vini the dwarf dwells in the Dwarf Cave underneath the village. The House of Living Heritage in the centre of the village provides an opportunity to learn about the rich archaeological heritage of this area, to view the exquisite artefacts from prehistoric mounds (tumuli), to find out about the importance of thermal springs for the area, hear stories about goblins and about bread that has always held a special place in the local cuisine.
