The Otočec-Struga Nordic and biking trail leads to the 'Belle of Dolenjska' – the Krka River. The trail offers a rugged terrain and is very picturesque and interesting. The Otočec castle is the only island castle in Slovenia. It provides a first-rate boutique hotel service and is known for its excellent restaurant. You should try one of the distinctive desserts or the in-house ice cream. There is a hotel called Šport and an adventure park not far from the castle. There are mute swans swimming on the nearby Krka River, while the island also contains a well-kept park. At the Struga castle, the trail passes a golf course, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the river valley.
